Dude, theres nothing you can do I don't think, I've been having major problems with it online since I got it and so have most of the people who bought the game. It is simply a case of EA releasing an unfinished game and using Gamesypy, sadly our problems maybe permanent.
I've got into a couple of games (though it's very rare), but even then the games have always been either very laggy or they desync :( I've given up, I'm going to sell the game I think.
It's really simple, for people who have the linksys router problem. Go to " PORT TRIGGERING "
Line 1. For application just put in " CnC3 " In Triggered Range put 2049 to 29910 In Forwared Range put 2049 to 29910 again.
Line2. For application just put in " CnC3-2 " ( or wutever you want ) In Triggered Range put 80 to 80 In Forwared Range put 80 to 80 again.
I figured this out after hrs of playing around with my cable modem and router.
This should help everyone with the linksys, possibly other routers too, this GAME still needs to be patched and dont take this as a permanent FIX. Report if doesnt help....! and i'll continue to try get it working for you guys untill EA patches Have fun!
Yes it is :( I can't believe I went for another EA blunder :( hopefully I can sell it and get most my money back. Dam you EA and Gamespy! LMAO Gamespy complained about the online problems in there own review even though THEY PROVIDE THE ONLINE, so you know its bad! EA has some of the worst tech support in the world, don't expect an email back.

I think a large majority are having massive problems with the game, some admin on GR said on saturday EA's server for the game peaked with only 1,500 players online! Supcom even had around 2,5000 the opening weekend online and I'm pretty sure CnC 3 has already sold much more then that, not even mentioning the fact that a good chunk of the people who bought supcom probably coulnd't even install it when they got the message (dont meet min specs)
same problem, but I'm on a college campus and that might have an effect - I can't paly BFME2 either, but BF2 and every other game works fine. I want to play C&C3 online so bad because of BattleCast, and now EA screwed me AGAIN
I don't know if you've tried this yet or if it will work in your case, but there have been patches released which fix online connection problems, etc. Try getting them if you don't already have them.
I don't think it's EA's fault, its you that's the incompatibility no offence, BUT, have you considered it might be your ISP and the type of connection you're using might need some tweaking? If I think of other solutions, I'll be back to help.
i can't even dl the patches - same problem with BFME2 - open the downloader/patcher and it freezes my computer for about 5 minutes - BF2, however, patches fine
I can get online with c&c3 everytime. If I remember right, I was reading in the patch notes, that EA had received reports of people having problems getting online. They stated that they are working on getting the problems addressed and will release a patch once they've got it fixed. So unless theres a problem with your hardware, or isp, there's not much you can do except wait for the patch.
What type of internet connection do u have? Maybe its not fast enough. Other thoughts are your ISP or router is blocking you. Call your ISP try port forwarding on your router. I have played 90 games online with very few laggy games.
you're not alone man. I have the exact problem you have, I can't play online at all. I've installed all the patches, and whenever I try the online button either theres no one in the lobby or it hangs my computer.
