like im playing doom 3, and i can only play for about 5 mins before i turn it off, and try the next day, i just get way to scared. im 14 yrs old. how can i just no think about the scary stuff or something. what can i do to get over it and just play. did you find this game scary?
Doom 3 was a pretty scary game, until you play 30min and realize how repetitive it is. I'd suggest just drinking a little to get you more relaxed while playing.

No offense, but the game is rated mature for a reason, one of those being the scare factor. Perhaps you just put the game away and return to it in a few months/years. Pick up a tamer FPS in the meantime, since there's plenty of quality titles that need playing.

I played Doom 3 when I was 13 and didn't really have any problems, but I'm probably more used to horror games/movies than you. Try watching bad horror movies and slowly step up to more scary ones to get used to it.
Also, turn god mode on. I usually dont like god mode as it ruins the flow of the game and intent of the developer, but Doom 3 is extremely repetative so the quicker you get through it, the funner it actually is. If youre constantly worried about whats around the next corner that could take the reaming 30 health you have away from you, the game grows tedious and boring. So, turn god mode on and enjoy the atmosphere at a good pace.
its not scary, the only thing that bothers me is that it makes gives me motion sickness when i play it, same with HL2/HL1. those are the only games that do for some reason.
OMFG!!!! it happened the same to me, just that i didn't like doom 3 too much, but i tried playing Fear and stalker(reinstalling this one atm :D).... the booze i didn't try with, but was thinking of having some friends over but i cant invite them everytime i wanna play a game >_>

I had to play the 1st 3 levels over and over again due to a crappy mouse that would disconnect itself from my computer, causing me to disconnect so I wasn't scared playing the first 3.

Whenever you get scared of a monster, don't turn the game off, but just stand there, let the monster kill you, now reload the game, and you won't be as scared anymore. I know this works :) I got to try it as well :D I am pretty scared of spiders. Damn those critters, how I hate them!

Go watch some horror movies instead, that should toughen you up. I started watching horror movies when I was 6 or 7, and because of this playing Doom 3 was just as scary as walking in a park at 2 p.m. Which reminds me, I'm still looking for a good horror movie that can actually scare me
I really forgot that drugselling thing I am doing in school. I also recently robbed a kindergarten and told my older brother to buy me some porn and alcohol. Don't forget that you can get narcotics in every pharmacy. Fred, 9 yr old Seriously, you shouldn't be playing it if you're offended/scared by the game. Play something family-friendly, like Manhunt!
