I can't play dragon age origins with hdmi cable

I don't no why ? When I want to start the game with hdmi cable they give the mode not support . But with normal cable it's work !!! How can I play it with hdmi

Are we talking about console or PC here? What's a "normal" cable?

I think what he meant by "normal" cable are either VGA or DVI. TC, make sure you change the setting on your monitor to HDMI. There should be a menu button that let's you navigate it so you could select which mode you need.

when you're hooked in with hdmi, try double-checking via the system config utility and making sure the resolution isn't higher than whatever your desktop/monitor is running at when you're using hdmi.

^^^ This. HDTV's tend to be a bit picky about resolution and graphics drivers scaling options do not correctly work for the most part [they do not work at all for resolutions above the max/native resolution of the TV - that has been my experience at least].
