Ok Guys, I broke down and bought the Hanns-G 28" monitor for my computer. It has a 3ms refresh time so unlike regular HiDef TV's I am hoping this thing will play games well. Has anyone else bought or own this monitor? I have checked reviews on the net and they seem good but figured i would see what some gamers have to say.

It was 600 dollars at Bestbuy. But I sold my 22" acer for 200 bucks to a friend so that helped with the cost.

You're going to have to murder your graphics settings to run your comp on that mind. Awsome monitor though.

Well here is the rundown. I purchased the Hanns-G 28" monitor at bestbuy on Friday Feb 8. I am MORE then happy to report this is a fantastic monitor! The picture is just beautiful and I am pleased that I have been able to run my games in 1920x1200 without any loss of eye candy. I had to make NO changes to my graphics settings from the 22" I was using previously. Because of the 3ms response time this monitor will out do most of the smaller ones I have seen out there. No I don't work for the company, but after trying to play games on my computer with it hooked to a HiDef 32" TV I can see the diffrence. No Lag meant that my shooter games (COD4 for example) played smoothly. So if anyone wants to move up to Big Screen gaming on their computer I highly reccomend this monitor.

TN panel FTL. I would've gotten a quality 24" Widescreen instead.

Not when the panel used for the monitor sucks. I would never get an LCD monitor that expensive with a TN panel.

Well if he likes the monitor he chose then that should be that but then again he did ask for our opion right?

Anyways a 32" hdtv to me at least is just fine and there is no lag no ghosting nothing it all looks great and I can play all of my games just fine on the pc or from my 360 and I payed like 595 technacly but after like tax and all it was around 600 but to me it was well worth it.

Some times bigger isn't allwas better but non the less it is nicer and can see everything better. Betther then those small monitors that you need to use a magnifier mouse or keyboard on or not unless you can read micro.

Also I'm not playing any of my games in there native rez cause most of my game don't support that but it doesn't matter to me. It all looks great to me.

Even though my graphic card isn't all that it does just fine for me and if you want to know what my grph is. It ise nvidia 8600gt xxx 256mb and I can run sc ok and there are some settings on high and I can play sc with like 900 units on screen not sure what the ai would have and not suree what kind of fps I'm getting but it is playable.

I too actually use an old 1024 X 768 LCD. Sure, the image quality isn't stellar, but I get excellent performance. I'll probably upgrade sometime this year, but for now I'm enjoying my little 15 inch monitor.
