[QUOTE="Reesicup"]another ignorant pc gamer who can't see that it's possible that people can like different things.the keyboard and mouse is the only effective way to play pc FPSs... or.... any game... for that matter. you won't get very far with a 360 controller... unless the dev deliberately slowed down everything 25% or something.

Well, I don't think anyone can dispute a controller's inferiority to the mouse and keyboard setup's precision.

no question that kb/m is better for fps but for platformers? The kb/m isn't supreme for everything.[QUOTE="Reesicup"]another ignorant pc gamer who can't see that it's possible that people can like different things.the keyboard and mouse is the only effective way to play pc FPSs... or.... any game... for that matter. you won't get very far with a 360 controller... unless the dev deliberately slowed down everything 25% or something.

Well it's the truth, if you don't like keyboard/mouse you shouldn't play PC games... you should stay with your kiddie console.
Mouse/Keyboard are not essential to play on a PC - people should use whatever is comfortable for them. I know a guy who used a joystick and pedals to play FPS games, and he wasn't at a disadvantage.
Anyone remember joysticks for playing flight simulators? Sometimes a different controller is appropriate for a different type of game. I've used a Microsoft Strategic Commander in the past for playing RTS - even tried it for FPS and managed OK. Though these days I just use keyboard/mouse.
Anyway, the following Star Wars games can be played online for free:
Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2
Republic Commando
Jedi Outcast
Jedi Academy
If you don't mind RTS games you can try:
Galactic Battlegrounds
Empire At War
