Uh, what do you mean by "old cables"? Like RCA or Coax cables? Component? Composite?

yes. cheap/ old cables have less or poorer insulation which can result in interfearence from the emf on other cables.

u can get a good logic HDMI cable for £20 or good ****** scart cable for similar price
