I got Modern Warfare 2 for Xmas....shoudl I return it and get something else?

I've heard a lot of ppl gripe about it. Suggestions on something else I could get if anything.

If you don't mind about it being a present, then yes, return it and get something else.

Undoubtely one of the worst FPSs out there. One of the most senseless and uninspired SP I've ever played, and the MP is a huge step back from MW1.

i'd say black ops and cod 3 are pretty much tied for the worst in the series. i liked mw2's campaign

Yes, it was crazy as in all over the place. Though as uninspired and incoherent as the SP is, it's somewhat of a thrill. But it's nothing you haven't really seen before. I say keep it, as it is a gift and hey--what can you lose? You get to fire guns and play with ppl. online.

MW2's storyline, much like a Michael Bay movie, may be pretty out there as far as believability goes, but you won't say you weren't entertained.

I THINK SOMETHING ELSE THEREFOR YOUR OPINION IS WRONG.

MW2 had a horrible campaign the MP is a huge step back from MW1.

Personally i had more fun with MW2 then i am with Black ops.

Return it and get Black Ops. :)

Everyone's opinion is different. I though Black Ops was boring and loved MW2's story.

Return it and get Black Ops or hell get the console version of MW2 if you really want to play MW2. IWnet is horrible.

Peer2peer hosting hell... yeah is not worth it. Go trade it in for black ops at least that has dedicated servers.

Return it, go get bc2 and vietnam.

Having my character fall over in an inevitable shower of bullets every ten paces, in dazzled incapacitation as some idiot runs over to me and drags me up for the millionth time isn't fun. It's scripted and so linear it could've been called Final Fantasy 13. Let me play the god damn game and stop showing me cinematics of my character sliding helplessly down a cliffside.

I know it's a gift but Modern Warfare 2 was when most fans had an epiphany: the series was going dangerously downhill. The single player was filled with plot holes and was the equivalent of watching a Michael Bay film, which is entertaining but not worth £30 and the multiplayer was riddled with imbalance issues and nuisances whose patching was endlessly refused.

Depends. If it's a single-player campaign you're worried about, just keep it.

For multiplayer though, definitely return it and get something else.

Now that i think about it, if you want a new game, get Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Vietnam expansion. Fairly cheap on steam. And its miles better than the COD series
