I recently became a primary PC gamer. Like 3 weeks ago. Steam and thier magic of seducing, has made me buy like 10 full games in less then 2 weeks. Why must they be soo cheap?!! =(

I have more games on PC, ON Steam, (I have other games for other services), then I have for PS3. How am I to find the time to finish all those games??

LOL....I love Steam, but I need to gain more self-control. haha

Yep, which is why I resisted buying a lot recently and only picked up

Dogfighter for $1.50 and Bioshock for $4.99.

They say dogfighter works flightsticks but it doesnt work all that great with mine, (hawx works great with it though) but I got a 360 controller to play it with as well, make it kinda like a flying mario card kinda game.

I agree with you, OP. Just last week, I bought Just Cause 2. I also bought Metro 2033, last night. In addition to that, I bought Mass Effect a few months ago. I'm excited about Just Cause 2 and Metro 2033, but not for Mass Effect. I'll probably never finish that game because of how boring it is. I also bought Far Cry 2. That's another game I'll never finish. It's a good thing I got Mass Effect and Far Cry 2 for cheap.

I don't do much with Steam - I just let my younger brother gift me games on it for the most part. But I've got a similar problram with GameStop locations.... Living in a large metro area, there are so many GameStop stores near by and when I venture past one I have a tendancy to stop and I check out the (small) PC games section and I almost always find a game I don't have that I want (or at least think I need, even though I don't need them) for cheap - $10 or less. I've got so many dang games for the PC, I can honestly say that I probably own 2 dozen games that I haven't even opened yet and probably have 60+ games that I haven't even beat yet. I can't find time to play them all or beat them all before I have my attention drawn to another game....pretty soon I'm torn between 2, 3, 4 or even more games at once.

I'm recovering from this type of activity. It's a daily ongoing battle.

I just installed a new HDD so I'm in the process of moving all non Steam games off and to the new drive so I have more room for Steam related games.

Based on Activisions prior actions....no chance. You will be lucky to see $10 off six months after release.

They really are evil. I purchased Bioshock for $5.00, Dead Space for $10.00, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. bundle for $10.00 saving myself $55.00 in the process!! Their sales are so dangerously incredible. All I want now is for Cyber Monday/Christmas season to get here already so I can empty my wallet picking up the Valve pack, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Bethesda pack, Dragon Age Origins, and whatever else they have to offer at their ridiculously low sales prices (fingers crossed that Psychonauts goes on sale for $2.50).

Well, it lasts for a long time. I think from late novemeber until early january. I remember there being daily specials (i think everyday). They also heavily discount most of their stock. So, your best tactics are to figure out the games you want but hold off on buying them until right at the end of the sale because many of those games will go ever cheaper during the dailys.

I too am suffering from the Steam affliction lately. I gifted Batman: AA to my best friend when it was $13 a few days ago.. I just bought Frontlines- Fuel of War for $2.99 last night, downloading it now. I still haven't come close to finishing Metro 2033, which I got for free with my video card. I really like to own a physical copy of my games, but it's hard to resist these deals!

haha it is wonderful isnt it? Does digital copies bother anyone else? I mainly own digital games through steam, but I prefer hard copies :( lol.

Also is there a reccomendation thread on the PC forums or should I just make a thread asking which game to buy?

I too picked up the Red Faction game, but I found a copy at one of the local Target stores near me at a discount price of $4.98 - so I picked it up.....though I have yet to open the game and play it. I bought it almost a month ago now. So for those following this thread, check out Target (not sure about Walmart, I don't set foot in those stores) discount shelves in the electronic department for games and also check out GameStops! It's so much more fun to have a physical copy, just because I say it is!

I wish I could order a physical copy of all of my Steam games. I'd pay $4 or $5 just to have a hard copy of some that I bought digitally. As far as the "essentials" go, I have them on CD/DVD. Half-life 2, Jedi Outcast/Academy, Bridge Commander, World in Conflict, Crysis Warhead. There are some that I just won't download.

Same here. I would pay for the physical copy from STEAM too. If I cannot find the box art (printable) for certain games, I will not buy the digital download version.
