I have a mouse, keyboard, and screen already. But I need the rest. How do I get the most for my money? PS: a friend will build it for me. I just need to buy the parts. Good sound is not as important as graphics. Just FYI. Thanks if you take your time to give advice.

$1200 should be enough for an i7 930 and two GTX 460s in SLI. Overkill really but you'd get your money's worth.

Really depends on what games you're going to play. If you're going to play really demanding games such as Crysis, GTX 460 is going to be handle the graphics. Honestly, $1200 is a lot to spend to build a PC. I'm only gonna spend 900 and I can get a very good PC.
