I'm running a corsair 90GB SATA 3 (6GB/s) SSD and it works great. fast start up and program loading (granted i'm using 6gb/s). It's a 7.7 on the windows experience Index.

Im running a Crucial 64gb Sata 3 SSD. I recommend doubling the size to 120gb, just to be safe. It works great and like The_ROb_himself the windows experience index is maxed out to 7.9 or whatever it is. Very worth it I would so so much faster than HDD. Just make sure you have backup storage for all your other data. Do not defrag SSD's, so Ive heard it ruins them.

This^, get either Intel 510, Crucial M4, corsair performance pro, plextor M3 or samsung 830 SSD's, most reliable on the market right now. I just got me a Crucial M4 64 Gb and gotta say loving the speed.

Do you have games installed on it, or just the operating system ?

I just got the 128GB M4 and I love it. It has my OS, several games and all of the programs I need and I'm currently sitting at 50GB leftover.

Well the OS system already takes half the 64gb, the rest is used for programs like microsoft office and the like. All my games, movies, pictures, music are on a separate 500gb HDD velociraptor. SO I run all my games off that HDD, not sure how much speed is reduced by running games off my 2ndary hard drive but I don't notice anything, its that fast.
