i have an alienware auora m9700, which is fine but cnt run bioshcok without constnatly stuttering. So i am gonna sell it on ebay for around 1300 $ and also sell my 360 because i wont need it anymore. I Could probably make around 1800$. All that would go towards the new desktop. I was looking at cyberpower and they have some really nice ones for less moeny then if I built my own. What do you suggest. And if you do suggesst a buuild. Give me some parts. thanks

What's the specs in your alienware computer? If the computer has old parts in it, don't expect anything over $1000 - in fact, I would say if the parts in it are around 2 years old, don't expect anything over $600..

Once you do get the money - I suggest building it yourself, since it will save you a lot of money as to getting a pre-build. But if you are not the technical person, then there are businesses that do build good gaming PCs (unsure of any since I'm not from the UK, US or Canada)

And Bioshock stutters on that machine? It shouldn't, I've seen a machine with a 2.8Ghz Pentium 4, GeForce 7600GS, and 1GB of RAM max that game - granted, it was at 1024x768, but they were pretty much all settings on high.

That being said, you should have your money in hand before getting all set up for your build. Lots of things happening between now and whenever you might actually have your money, and it would be a shame to pay more for less performance when the time comes.
