The motherboard is a custom Dell board based on the Intel H61 chipset. It has 2 memory connectors and can hold 2 SATA hard drives. It has a 300 Watt power supply and has PCIe connections. You can always purchase a better display but I believe that this monitor is tied to this package bundle. There are both VGA and HDMI video outputs as well.

this is a link to the item page:

So much useless information.

the PSU is only 300W which is weak. I don't even know any decent cards that will work with that little power.

Take a look on the powersupplys sticker and post what current (amperes) it provides on +12V. Although if you truly want to turn into into a gaming PC, you should change the powersupply. I don't know why you bought a bundle like that for gaming.

Drunkenboxer07
Yeah, if you have a second power supply laying around, you can use it for your videocard. Just connect the green wire on the motherboard plug of the second PSU to any of the surrounding ground wires to make the PSU run without a motherboard...

Is that the pc you own or a pc you're considering buying?

Because it's pretty bad value.

Well you said you don't want to spend more than 200$. You could get a descent PSU and a HD 6850 that is a very nice card for the price for 195$ HIS 6850 for 140$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161384 Rosewill 530W for 55$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182199 I'm fairly sure it fits your case but you might want to measure.

thanks man this is exactly the kind of advice i was looking for this card will be able to push MMO's at a solid rate? is it possible to crossfire this with the onboard card or should i just dissable that one completely (if i was to try and crossfire 2 of these HIS would i need to buy 2 of the powersupplies)? id like to be able to run SWTOR at a decent graphics setting when i start playing it and not have it freezin up like crazy when im in a raid group.

A single 6850 will run TOR just fine. You can't crossfire two 6850, you only have one PCI-e 16x slot on the mobo. If you decide to buy just turn the integrated off in BIOS. There is a thing called Hybrid crossfire where you use the integrated chip together with another card but I haven't dabbled with that myself, don't know if they'd be compatible. And I don't think it would give you much of a performance boost anyway. Like I said, a single 6850 should be enough for your needs.

$119.99 after the MIR is a good price for that card. Also, I would get the Rosewill HIVE Series 550w PSU instead. It's only $5 more...

For just $200, I would've jumped on that deal too, even if I ended up selling it on eBay and making some money. Hell, the monitor alone is worth $200..

So much useless information.

NailedGR
Yeah, agreed. DrunkenBoxer07, you should replace the specs in your original post with the following info.. Intel Core i5-2310 processor Dell H61 motherboard 8GB DDR3 RAM 300w Dell PSU

any input on that card that i posted that my friends can give to me? if it will be about as good as the ATI 6850 theres no reason i should spend the extra $120.

its a HIS 5570 radeon

2.1 PCIe, 2g DDR3, 128-bit.

basically its this card for free: http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-584.shtml

or this card for $120: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161384

The 5570 and 6850 cannot even be compared. I think you'd need 4x 5570s to match the performance of a 6850.

i'd check out the power supply wires that connects to the motherboard first, some manufaturer likes to make proprietary connectors that won't work with standard power supply

i will, but its a PCI 2.1 and im not sure if my old dell xps that im running right now was a 2.1 input ill have to open it up and see. what do u guys think about spending the extra $30 and grabbing a radeon 6870 instead of the 6850. i was browsing cards and some of them looked pretty boss. i noticed that none of them except for the high end iceQ ones have the eyefinity though, how important is that?

ok well i just seen what eyefinity does and i deffinitely want that i have 3 monitors that i can use for the coolness that provides, maybe i should just buy 2 6850s with eyefinity and crossfire them for maximum beasty-ness

You could run 2 6850s fine on a 700 watt, they don't use much power. Heck a decent 600 watt would do it.

Yeap . Corsair are at more trustworthy . Antec should also be a good choice for a PSU
