I suck. That's the bottom line. And I need tips on how to get better, because I get an average of 2 kills per 20 rounds.

Everyone around me is like, sooooo professional, and I'm just there dying straight :D

BTW, I am playing CS 1.6

Thanks

Learn the maps, learn strats. Aim for the head, don't run and gun or spray and pray, it's not CoD. Predict enemy movements.

CS1.6 takes forever to get good at and most people that play have been playing for MANY years. you just gotta be persistent and play against bots for a while (if you can). that way you can practice headshots and learn the maps

Control your weapon. fire in bursts instead of spraying and praying.

I started playing sounter-strike with counter-strike source. i found it to be too repetitive to play for more than a month. but yeah learn the maps and learn when and where enemies like to show up at so you can be ready to get the shot before they do.

know your weapon. each gun handles differently. i think the best beginner gun is the mp5. i mainly use the ak becuase i use the recoil to my advantage.

Go practice with bots. Eh, is an old game what motivates you to play it? I mean is going to take a long time before you can even match anyone thats left I assume cause I mean I have not played since forever.

CS 1.6 is still on the most played list. I see hundreds of loaded servers when I go online.

If aim is your problem play nothing but aim_ maps for a while. They help me when I'm a bit rusty.

never lead the charge , always follow the nubs, use flashbangs, get good at the awp/auto, aim for the head unless u have an ak47 and in that case just aim for there knees and go full auto lol, trust me it pwns. most of all is practice and patience, gotta have a good team too

Good luck, 1.6 is a ***** to get good at (literally will take you 1000s of hours). Mostly because everyone who plays 1.6 is already really good, and that some of it's mechanics are odd (aiming is rediculous to get down since it seems the weapons shoot almost randomly in a spray and not in a predicted path).

Source is a much more friendly game.

Pretty much predict enemy moves, DONT SPRAY! shoot in small bursts. Dont make too much noise, strafe when not trying to be noticed.

My advice would be to pick up Counter-Strike: Source, it's a lot easier to get into and it's much easier on the eyes.
