I'm also looking for a really good rts game , that goes on lan but one that has a lot of different units , unique units per factions and lots of factions haha ( also made between 1992 - 2005 ) ( i have tried starcraft games , all cnc games that I can think of , and all age of empires games , any ideas ? ( it would be even better if there was no magic and there was a robotic race haha )

I haven't actually tried this game myself, but I've heard it's pretty good. M.A.X. - Mechanized Assault and Exploration. Old game, so system requirements shouldn't be a problem, and you control robots :)

Sins of a Solar Empire, maybe? Barring that, how about any of the following:

  • Ground Control
  • Ground Control 2
  • Homeworld
  • Homeworld: Cataclysm
  • Homeworld 2
  • Mech Commander 2
  • Worms: Armageddon (technically, it's turn-based)
  • Conquest: Frontier Wars
  • Hegemonia: Legions of Iron

EDIT - because I forgot a few more:

  • Syndicate
  • Syndicate Wars
  • Metal Fatigue (hey, I liked it)
  • (if you can tolerate a little magic) Populous: The Beginning
  • Earth 2150 (I never picked up 2160...so I can't really recommend it......though it does look really fun!)

hi,i'm looking for a rpg with a wasteland feel where you must scavenge to survive, but not any of the fallout or stalker games (I prefer guns to swords)
