Ok so before someone writes "WoW" i just gotta say i hate world of warcraft, i played for a few months and disliked it, didnt like the story, questing is confusing and graphics are cartoony. Not the point though. And not Guild Wars either. I played that for almost 2 years and a glitch happened and i lost all of my characters. Now i quit GW.

Im looking for one of those hidden gems, a great game few people know about. I need something thats fun, fast paced and has a decent PvP feature.

Or if you know a good one thats not like that just tell me so i can check it out....thanks alot for ALL help. :)

City of Heroes/Villains is pretty action packed. It's fun and fast too. I'm not sure about the PvP though as it's not really my "thing". I do believe that there is a health PvP population though (especially, from what I've heard, on the Freedom server). It's not a free to play MMORPG but, honestly, nothing worth your time really is.

I played the demo for city of heros, the only thing i dont like is that to be honest there really is not story line, you just fight crime. And another thing is there are no new armors/ weapons. no inventory or trading for a matter of fact.

"Neocron 2",a role playing futuristic game designed by germans. It has two servers;"German" and "English".Consider this game like a "Deus Ex" style game. Most likely the same environment and gameplay as the well known classic.

There are story lines in CoX. As for your other concerns, honestly, I'm happy that most of that carrot & stick stuff isn't in the game. There's really no reason for new armor or whatever because you can make your character look exactly like you want it to from the get go.

Oh, there's also an auction house and crafting (not sure when you last played) so there's a decent amount of trading going on now too. They are also adding the ability to more or less customize your weapons in an upcoming patch.

I suppose there's always EQ2 or LotRO if you prefer more traditional MMORPG's. In my opinion, they are both a lot better than WoW. What isn't?

Good luck in finding something that suits your tastes.

You might want to give the free trial of EVE a try. It doesnt have much story, but has an amazing economy, industry/mining, and in my opinion the most versatile PvP system of any MMORPG. It takes a bit of patience to build skills up and to get into the game, but it can be really fun if you tough through the learning curve.

How about LOTRO. I have been tempted by this one but haven't yet made the plunge and bought it.

Wait for Warhammer Online and Age of Conan if you want potentially ground-breaking PvP mechanics and polished atmosphere. Otherwise, I can't recommend anything but WoW and FFXI. Actually, I wouldn't say I recommend WoW anymore due to some serious problems it has and other than that, maybe give a free MMO like RF Online a go.

Try Rf Online:www.rf-onlinegame.com

A lot of people play it for its PVP system.
