Hey guys, My PC has a tendency to just shut down out of the blue when doing the following:
Playing ANY game
Saving/Making a song/movie
Extracting/converting any moderate to large sized file
Listening/Watching Anything that has a long length on any media player

My specs are:

Intel Pentium4 processer W/Hyperthreading Enabled

ATI Radeon X850 Pro running @ 256MB

I forgot my power supply...

And 1GB Of DDR2 memory

and i'm using Windows XP home edition

Please help, my pc is about as usefull as pamela anderson is smart.

Dude, you could be right, see, my dad has a comp in the living room running at about 24 degrees celcius, at most, 28, mine sometimes hits 39, and max 42! Is there any software that can tell you the temperature of your computer parts?

Look up a program called HWMonitor. It can tell you temperatures for several components, including the CPU, GPU, and hard drive. Oh, and what exactly IS your PSU? An underpowered system will probably be unstable and outright shut down on you whenever you load the system.

Fans on computers usually have the short life-span. I've had that problem with every single computer I've had after about 2years worth of gaming.

Nice one.

What exactly do you want to do with your PC? Do you want a new one, or do you want to try and repair it?

Overheating?

Lack of Power?

Maybe even a virus?
