I don't know about the x1050 but the 6150SE is considerably worse than a Geforce 6600 which is now obsolete as far as gaming is concerned. The cpu and memory on the first one is better.funpolice2050

Your new rig will overall be better than your old 1 but that Integrated Geforce graphics solution sucks dude, id say its on par with your current ATI card maybe slightly better but nothing really worth talking about. If you get that rig save for a new graphics card as well, something like 9600GT or HD3870 should do just nicely and shouldnt empty your pockets too badly, or even the HD3850 if your a bit short on cash.KurganUK23thanks!
Your welcome
Oh yeah if you not gonna use that rig for gaming the graphics will be ok but it gets really bad scores on benchmarking and would be really bad in any remotely good game of the past few years but its certainly not a bad start compared to your old rig (although that wasnt too bad either).
If your really short on $ try and pick up a 8600GT, there not the best gaming card in the world but do run games ok at the moment and could be had in a bargain bin really cheap depending on where you live.
EDIT: Nice to see someone sticking by AMD even though they do lack a little at the moment, roll on Shanghai but untill then the Phenom X4 9950BE will do me just fine
Yea im pc gamer but i dont need to play Crysis! Will i be able to play a game like Stalker or something if i baught like a $100 graphics card?Your welcome

well mate,
cut the ram down to some 2GB 800MHz
then get this 2.8GHz black ed about $55
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103289R
then lower HD to 250GB
and up the GPU to a ZOTAC OC GeForce 9600 GT 512MB about $94 (6000's will not play anything good :P)

Hope this helped! :)
steve.
All the graphics cards I mentioned to you should be available in that price bracket, you might even be able to squeeze in a 4850 depending on your country and where you shop and all of them should play Stalker and even Crysis on half decent settings especially the 4850, or you might be able to get hold of a 8800GT maybe GTX depending on prices.
Have fun
To answer your question plain yes a $100 dollar card should do the trick if your not wanting super graphics on the power hungry games like crysis.
just a question KurganUK23, wont that 9600gt bottle-neck your CPU??
i mean id try holding off for a 4850 or 9800gtx maybe?
will be interesting to see when finished :P

Yeah I reckon it will bottleneck it a little bit but as my partner is actually paying for the whole system as an Xmas & B'day pressie and all the budget has been spent and we cant raise anymore money till feb/march and as I need to replace almost everything I had to lower my requirement for a GPU as I really wanted a Phenom X4 (budget covered an X2 6000+ and 9800GT) 9800GTX+ start at £150ish, 9600GT was £70ish and 9800GT was about £100. Believe me I've had some earache over changing stuff round lol
I'll probably wait for the next big release and then grab something like a gtx260/280 or HD4870 when they drop down in price.
Either way I reckon at a 1440x900 res on the games I plan to play (CoD5 being the main 1 till I get more for xmas) I dont think it will really harm me as such having a slight bottleneck on the CPU and I reckon it should still turn out pretty good fps etc anyway.
PS: Good observation, expected someone else to have said something by now lol

Why did you recommended the HD3850 when the HD4670 is faster, cheaper and can run on almost any psu available?

Depends where your from and where you shop, where I live the 4670 is priced between 3850 and 3870 (in fact its only about £5 cheaper than 3870)
