I need help with Deus Ex please.

Ok as you can see (well maybe not, it's kind of dark) I am in the Subway and went to talk to Anna Navarre. I am not sure if this is the right step, because I haven't played the game in 8 months, but it seems like it is according to this guide, close to the bottom of the page.

Anyway, when she runs up to me she doesn't initiate a conversation and I can't find a button to make her initiate a conversation - this makes me think that I missed a step because I used the doorcode taken from the guide to get into the subway.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure Paul's supposed to give you the doorcode. You're supposed to go back to the apartment to meet him, he gives you the code and tells you to run away.

I think there is something wrong with my game. I went back several save games and made my way back to the current point I'm at. He is not in the hotel room, but the baddies show up outside our room eventually. It is to my understanding that he is indeed supposed to be in there and help fend off the baddies.

I really don't want to play thru this again only for this bug to occur again...any way to make Paul appear, or is there a console command to forward the quest line, or is there a place I could download a save game?

Try shooting at navarra.

She only talks to you to tell you she's going to fight you so maybe if you start it the story will procede.

Don't worry if she kills you either, cause the story will still continue.

erm.. weren't you supposed to get captured? I think that was it, even though you can kill Anna, Gunter in invincible and he MUST kill you for the game to continue

You're supposed to get the doorcode from Paul. When he didn't appear the quest chain must have been broken, you can try attacking Agent Navarre and just know that dying is expected. Hopefully the game proceeds from there.

Ok I killed Navarre and then let the brute guy kill me, but then the game just ends there and it takes me back to the Deus Ex screen and I have to load my game over.

Any ideas?

The fight with the brute is a no win situation. However, I do not think you are supposed to die. If I remember right this is where you get taken prisoner my majestic 12.

Are you fully patched? You may want to reload an earlier saved game and start from there.

Cant you tell him "i surrender" last time i checked you could do that.

Also it will be wise to set the game to run on 1 core. It is known that mutlicore systems cause bugs in those old games or freezes.
