If none of this makes sense, I apologize, I am a complete noob when it comes to anything inside my computer. Anyways, I currently have a Geforce 7300 LE and I am looking to upgrade. Specifically so I don't have to run Assassin's Creed on it's lowest settings. I am planning to get Spore, GTA, and PoP as well.

I don't have SLI and my computer doesn't seem to fit a large card (I believe it's called a dual slot card). I previously bought a 8800gt, but the 6 pin power cord couldn't reach my power supply so now I am looking for a card that doesn't require one of those.

I have been reading stuff online and the 7600 looks good, but I would like to see if anyone here can help me out further...I just don't want to have to go back and forth.

Well the 4850 is better value than the 8800GT at the moment.

7300LE? I guess you have an AGP?

Find out if your motherboard can take PCIE cards, then what are your other PC spec?

No reason to get an HD4870 if you are runnig an old rig, that would be a waste of money.

Give us the whole spec on all your PC's hardware.

7300LE AGP? Hmmmm... that would mean he cant use the 8800GT OR the 4850 OR 4870. They are all PCI-E cards.....

I apologize for sounding like an idiot, but how do I check the AGP stuff?

EDIT: Going through my computer stuff, some of my specs I think are:

Processor: Intel Core 2 CPU 4400@2GHz

Ram: 2046MB

System Type: 32-bit OS

Thats all I get when I go to my computer's properties....and if it helps at all my computer is a Dell Dimension E520

Dell E520 has PCIE, but im worried about the 305W PSU, this may limmit your opt.

You could get a better PSU and make a way to fit it into your case. (dell hasn't got the ATX2.0/2.2 standard)

on a 300w i would not run any high-end card.

Edit: the rest or your rig is more than capable to run most games. (if you upgrade PSU and VGA)

Is this your PC? http://www.ciao.co.uk/Dell_Dimension_E520__Review_5615804

If so, than you've got a Pentium D Dual Core which is different from Core 2. Closer to Pentium 4 in performance. But still, from that article, it appears you have a PCI-E slot after all. In that case get an ATI 4850 card. Best all round mid range card. And from the previous post. Yes, there may be some concern over your PSU. Hopefully it is a standard shape one which you can replace by purchasing anywhere. With 300Watt its going to get pushed once you put your new graphics card in. Like the old saying goes though, "Try before you buy"......

This Dell comes with many various settups, two of thoose settups include core 2 duo's, and 2GB ram, so he can still have a core 2 duo. (E4400 or E6300)

Thanks for everything everyone...but I think that I'm just going to stick with what I have right now. It's not bad, not good either, but it will have to do. Thankyou all again!
