i played my ps3 and was using an hdmi cable. i pulled out the hdmi cable and bent some of the pins inside it. now the cable no longer works. i have the original component cables (red, white and yellow plugs), so i plugged them in and nothing came up on the screen. what can i do to solve this dilemma because i miss being able to play my ps3.

thanks

Red, white, and yellow RCA cables are called composite (red, white, red, blue, and green cables are component).

You could just buy a new HDMI cable. Monoprice.com (high quality stuff, but super low prices) has good 6ft HDMI cables for less than $5.

Wrong forum, but this should solve your problem.

While your PS3 is in sleep mode, hold the power button on the front down for a few seconds. You can let go after it's beeped more than a few times; I forget how many because I've never actually had to do it lol. This will reset your PS3's display settings and will display at 480i through your composite cables.

Stop fiddling with that tinker toy, boot up your PC and play a man's game. Problem solved.
