I'm moving away and going to college in Feb and for Christmas my mom and aunt are putting their money together to buy me a kick ass laptop.

I'm looking for one in the $900-$1000 range. I want to be able to play WoW smoothly, with decent FPS. Thing is, I dont know anything about laptop processors and which ones are best.

P.s. They have to be from Best Buy or some store, because I'm not to be trusted with $1000 cash. =]

Help me out?

Wow is not a problem to run....with a decent and newer computer you can be kicking it's ass all around the place for that budget...let me have a look at what they have to offer...

1 thing tho....it has kinda a small HD so you might consider getting an external HD..... you wont need it right away, but eventually your gonna want it...

eh i dont need a whole lot of HD space, im not as busy as i like to make myself out to be.

Are the processor and graphics good enough to have my WoW settings on max and still run smoothly as hell?

Here's a great article on laptop GPUs. This is usually the bottleneck in any laptop as far as games are concerned. Look for the mainstream chips for a good balance between price and performance.

well it's a tad frustrating that you have to get it at a store...it'd help if you could order it from like dell or hp, where you can customize it a little....
