I need some help on what amount to sell my PC for. Help!

Yes its true. I'm selling my main PC to save up for a MacPro. I've been using my Macs way more, and PC gaming has come to a minimum. Any ways This is what my system is and I would like to see how much I could get for it.

Case: Thirmaltake Armor Jr.

System: P4 3.2ghz HT, some MSI board, x1600, 780gb Combined HDD, 13 usb ports, Sound Blaster Live! 5.1, 2x DVD-RW 8x drives, and 3070gb DDR ram, PCI wireless NetGear b/g.

Moniter: 21" HD ViewSonic

Also includes: 500gb WD EHDD, External USB hub w/ 8 usb ports, JBL "Creature" Speakers, Logisys webcam, Cannon Pixma printer, two Gaming keyboards, Mouse, World in Conflict "Frag pad", a copy of BioShock Collectors EDT. (Because this beast can max out the game!!), Windows XP home, Ubuntu, and Momagonda operating system CDs/DVDs, Linksys USB wireless internet card b/g.

Yeah thats about it, I may throw in some more games... I really would love to get this out of my house. Its been sitting around being uselessto me. I mean common your getting like 1.28tb of storage here! I would even be willing to throw in a Netgear wireless G router, and another 120gb EHDD. Well thats about it! I would just like to know about how much I could sell it off for! I'll also sell of the parts, if it nets more money in all.

I've gotten some higher offerings, I think $500USD for the lowest. I think in all its going to pull more if its sold as parts.treytakahashi

That's usually the case. Selling the parts individually brings more money overall. You could do the same with the software as well.

A p4 machine will not bring in 500, and if it does.. the buyer doesn't know current technology. My old p4, I stripped every bit of usable part, and put it in the new comp. I have the cpu sitting on a shelf next to an x600xt.

Edit: I am talking about it w/o monitor as well. You can even get a C2D comp off the kmart site for less than 500, and all you need to do is toss a vid card and maybe 40 bucks of ram. Also, I would never buy one from kmart.. I am just showing what some crazy person might do for parts/cheap comp.

I agree. I see desktops with nice LCD monitors for around $500-$600 and have C2D, 2 gigs of ram.

Core 2 Duo E6600, EVGA 680i sli, 2GB Corsair XMS2, EVGA 8800GTX, Thermaltake Armor, Corsair 620 watt psu, 20.1" widescreen monitor. How much could I sell this for? 250GB hard drive btw. Was around $2000 new, but I could probably get around $1,000 plus right? It's about 1,600 new now, minus the monitor.

Sounds like a plan. You never know, you might get a bidding war going on between the n00bs. Lots of sexy pics of you rig will help. Bling, d00d...bling... Seriously though, comparing a Pentium 4 to a C2D of any flavor, is like comparing the best Pentium 2 to the 3.2Ghz P4 rig you want to sell. There is that much difference, or more...:roll:

Well, it's true that pretty strong system could be built for $1000, most people don't build...or even know that much about computers. You could get $1000, for rig like yours, especially if it looks kick a$$. Lights and nice case window goes a long way in selling to the n00bs. But, a more realistic/reasonable price to expect would be about $800, if you throw in the monitor. As Thinker said, used is used...
