Hey guys,

Seeing as the only game I bought during the deal was Max Payne, I figure I might as well grab a few more games since even if the games aren't that great, it'd still be worth picking up a few.

I also picked up Stalker Clear Sky since I liked the original (still havent finished it though lol)

So far I'm thinking of:

-Beyond Good and Evil

-Overlord

-Clive Barker's Jericho (this game got horrible reviews, but I just tried the demo and actually liked it..)

But that's where I'mstuck. Any hidden gems out there that don't get mentioned alot?

Just so you know, I considered (but decided against)Indigo Prophecy (it just looks like a movie consisiting of cutscenes which doesn't seem that great)

Thanks guys

oh and I'm opened to any genre except strategy, up to the 10 dollar range each, thinking of picking up a few.

I know it's a bit over your price range ($13), but all I hear from other people are good things about The Witcher....and it seems like you get a whole lot of gameplay for your money's worth. I haven't played it (except for the demo), so I can't really comment. Also, BioShock is $5 and everyone loves that, 'cept for me, I couldn't really get into it, heh. Torchlight is a fun little Diablo-ish game for $5, which is a hell of a deal if you ask me...and there is a demo. For me there usually has to be a demo, or I won't buy the game. I played the demo for Zeno Clash (it's around $7.50) and I thought that was a really cool, odd, beautiful indie game...still debating on picking up the full game. I'd tell you to get Mass Effect but the deal for that ended, and you've probably played it already.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to replay the demo for the witcher real quick to see if I like it since I kinda forget. Can't believe its still worth 40 before the sale, might be worth it even tho I wasn't planning on spending too much. Oh, and for games I own: -Chronicles of Riddick -Titan Quest -Penumbra (this game is a perfect example of a hidden gem if anyone has any recommendations like this, I looked at an adventure game called The Void, but the gameplay looks too boring) -Mass Effect (a little overhyped, maybe I just don't dig sci fi that much) -Zeno Clash -Stalker1+2 -All half life's -Max Payne Bundle -Bioshock (biggest waste of 20 dollars I've ever spent) -Fallout 3 -Left4dead

Based on this, Freedom Force: Freedom Pack for $5.01. It has strategy, but I say at least have a look at it.

Sure, I was actually going to, but didn't want to spam the thread since I just posted.

I too loved the demo, and the game was pretty cool, BUT IT IS SHORT AS HECK, steam logged my playthrough at 2 hours, I beat it in one sitting.

The game itself was really neat, but gameplay wise, it was just like the demo, completely linear. All depends on if the money is worth the brief experience for you.

EDIT: I believe a sequel will be released, it may be worth it just to try it out and see if you like it since the next one could be better. That's why I bought games like Mass Effect and Bioshock, neither which really floatedmy boat thoughsince I find AAA titles to lack something, The Witcher is supposed to have a sequel too, so I'll probably buy it since I liked the demo when I played it (I think lol), foreign games always seem to interest me (like Stalker) so I think I'll like it.

Awesome thanks...but dang only 2 hours? I would wait for another sale on it, but Steam already had it as a weekend deal for $5 and I missed out on it, so dunno if it's coming back anytime soon. Yeah, I wish I liked the Witcher as a sequel is coming out...it just wasn't for me after playing the demo. Maybe I should give it another shot.

Get Torchlight, Stalker or Beyond Good and Evil imo.

Zeno Clash is tons of fun to, but yes its short. It took me 4 hours though not 2. Very unqiue game with amazing atmsophere and art design. But yes its short.

I know you dont want to spend this much... but Tropico3 is alot of fun aswell.

Its 19$ instead of 40$ and is just so addicting.

Basically I bought around 10 games during the sale.. and the two ive had the most fun with??? Torchlight and Tropico3... I was on the fence about these two games but man am I glad i got them.
