GPU - GTX 670 2GB

CPU - Intel i5 Ivy Bridge 3.4 GHz

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504

PSU - Cougar 850w

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817553006

RAM - 8 GB RAM (1600 MHz)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231536

Motherboard - ASUS 'thing' (lol)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131837

Case - I'm keeping my current case

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156078

Subtotal: $934.95

Hello everyone! I need to make sure all the items I'm planning on getting for my newest computer are compatible with eachother, as well as efficient. I don't want anything 'unecessary'...

Few questions: I have little to no knowledge on motherboards, how does the one I want fare? I may want to sli in the future.

Will that case have trouble holding my new components? I can list my current specs for reference if needed.

Are there better options on the table product-wise for any of the items above? Any criticism/help is appreciated folks!

Thank you all so much!

I may want to SLi in the future. Would I have to purchase fans/cooling upgrades to my rig if it came to that, or could I stay 'stock'?

the fact that you even ask this tells me you are never going to SLi or Crossfire.

Ok, let's say I stay with my current PSU:

Will it hold up?

Yes. Probably better than the Cougar will.

Thanks for the responses! I think I'm going to stick with my current PSU, and I'll downgrade to this RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 Are there any opinions on the CPU/Mobo? Are there better alternatives?

Cougar makes very good PSU (and cases and fans) and I can tell you that model runs great.. That is not a bad price for that but they go on sale at newegg from time to time for cheaper. I got mine about a year ago on a shell shocker for 84.00 shipped. If you come across a similar deal, I'd say jump on it, but the psu you have now will run fine.

I'd also think about investing in a case upgrade sometime in the near future. One that will give you more room, better cable mgmt and air-flow options for the specs you will be running.

All in all very nice build.

^^Elann2008...you the mann !.....

To be honest with you I never really heard much about them. After reading some on-line reviews I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. They are a solid company out of Germany that has a very good reputation for building quality components.

OP'er, don't let the name Cougar scare you off if you ever decide to give them a try.

Looks fine, stick with the Corsair PSU for now, it'll save you some cash. :)
