After 6 years of playing I finally quit. Modders and hackers got 2 me finally. Glad I did it. Discuss.Whiteblade999
You've been playing that game for six years?! Amazing. Online, I assume?
I couldn't play this garbage game for more than an hour... I tried several times to get into it, but it's just so damn boring and barely requires any sort of skill. amekhov
Doesn't require any skill? I can see you never played it on Hell difficulty, unless you know how to build your char they'll kick your ass in hell.

Different strokes for different folks, if you want to actually make a powerful character that will get you through Hell difficulty you have to put some real work into it. Since you guys prob didn't play it past the first initial Acts, you wouldn't know :P
lol diablo 2 online is very fun. a friend of mine has 3 or 4 lvl 90+ characters. its a game that you can play for years and never get tired of.Iantheone
My friend averages 3 lvl 90s a week
Diablo 2 came out back when I was in high school and I kept going back to it over and over again.
The day i bought a widescreen LCD monitor was the day the game just looked too bad to go back to again ... at which point I picked up Titan Quest which was a worthwhile investment.

I've just started playing Diablo. I can see why this game can be so addictive. I am not playing online of course, but I already managed to play for 10 hours in three days. Given my schedule, thats a lot :D chandu83
multiplayer is where the game really shines, just play on the ladder....if they still do that.
I bought D2 four days after it was released and went on to play it over 4 years until I held a random number lottery on diabloii.net for allmy legally-found sought after items, with the final prize my remaining runes andmy account and password. One of the most popular threads up until that time.

With my internet conection, I cannot play multiplayer, so I'll just enjoy the single player campaign. Frankly, I am loving this, I don't feel like I am missing out much. This game is great! :)
Diablo is running in the background as I am typing this post, andif Diablo 2 is anything like Diablo (which it is), then I can understand why someone would keep going back to it :) Some games just cannot be replaced over time. Or at least it will take a long time at that! :D

My bad, I thought you were talking about Diablo 2.
The original Diablo is far better in single-player than multi-player (thanks to major hacks, cheats and no PvP warning messing up multiplayer), so you aren't missing anything there. Get a better connection before playing D2, which, as I said shines in multiplayer.
The original Diablo is close to my heart, it was my first PC game ever, I bought it in '97.
...and if u think Diablo is addicting, wait til you get to Diablo 2!
Ok, Diablo 2 is fun to play online for a week or two. But 6 years? You DO know that there's other games out there, right?ShotGunBunny
LOL. I was addicted for a couple of years. I had my friends into it, and we were making all these pvp builds..ahhh the good times.
i remember buying diablo2, went straight after school and bought the battle chest thingy, but yea the game is addictive, i reckon its cuase you can always go back to it and think "hey lets start a new char on diablo2 just for fun". i havent played in like a year tho but you got me thinking
*inserts diablo2 and installs* :P

You've played it for 6 years? WoW. Pun intended. ;) :) I played the game once and uninstalled when I finished it. It is an awesome game though. I wouldn't mind playing it again. The atmosphere is top notch.
