It's more like:

Lots of angry nerds on XBL. PC nerds don't like angry XBOX nerds and diss them. XBOX nerds get mad and call PC nerds angry PC nerds.

Just get both platforms, trust me, it's worth it. Idiots are everywhere, both on Xbox Live and any online PC-game.

The PC community for the most part is open and extremely friendly. Compared to the Xbox Live community, they are pretty much all Mother Teresa's. Not only is the community better but the online is extraordinarily better and much more reliable, since many of the dedicated servers are run by supportive members of said community who fund it themselves. If you experience any lag, its probably because someone playing with a 28.8k connection just came on. Most of my online experiences (CoD, DoD, MoHAA, DoDS, SC and AoEII) were for the most part lag free for the many years that I've played them

I have both, and will say without any doubt that the community on XBox Live is 10X worse.

Well...let me say this though. PC is filled with more elitist, while XBox Live with angry pre-teens. I guess it depends what group you find more annoying...

You must already own some kind of PC. What about starting with some older games that should run on your computer?

my suggestion is sell your 360 if you arent too attached to halo (its overrated anyways) and use the money you get to start building a computer. most people believe that computers are a lot more expensive than getting a console but my computer cost me about $1400 when I built it and it is probably less than $1000 by now from price drops, and I bought everything hard drives and etc, and this computer can run Crysis on high graphics with no problems. Now for a console user you usually spend $200 - $300 dollars for the actual console, but then in the PS3's case to make those graphics look good at all you need an HDTV which costs you over $1000, than if you need extra controllers that costs money, games cost a lot more than PC games, and then you need a subscription to play online. If you found any of this useful go to www.newegg.com and check out parts and such, if you need any help choosing what to get feel free to PM me I do this for a living :)

pc gaming doesnt have to be costly. if your smart and buy cards when prices drop(when upgrades come out) and get off ebay etc it should only cost 250 a year if your not a hardcore gamer.

That's still more than consoles though.

Sure, PC gaming can be expensive. But, isn't almost any hobby you pick up supposed to cost something? It's a hobby, expect to spend money on doing something you enjoy doing. As for the communities, I can easily say that the PC online community is much better then the XBL. All you get is screaming 5 year olds on XBL. Whenever I play online games for the PC such as DoD:S we just have conversations, talk about how things are going and what has been going on, and share funny things that have happened recently. It's a blast, and I would really suggest it to anyone.

I've unplugged my headphones before so my wife could hear what we were talking about, because she was wondering why I was laughing so much. After only 2 minutes of the headset being unplugged, she was laughing away with me.

PCgaming ain't so expensive as long as you don't go after the latest hardware as soon as it's released. I tend to keep about a year behind. I also prefer to play games (single player) when they too are a little older. This way you can usually wind those gfx settings up to max.

Just do it!

True, but if you dont have the lastest hardwares, it might not funtion right for the requirement. but still you cant really saving money to get or selfbuilt, the gaming PC that you really want....

Just use Newegg when your shopping for parts. It's a lot cheaper than going to electronics stores.

My advice here is..... keep your xbox.. unless your really tight on money, bc (and dont hate on me guys) i dont care who you are what you do or what color your skin is..... 4 controllers and 4 guys (or girls) with a loud attitude is fun as hell with any game and halo suffices.. im not saying halo is great because i know that if we could do that with every PC game then PC would be god completely lol... hence CS and DoD and CoD being so fun right...

But back to the point. I suggest investing in the old games like before, maybe warcraft 3, Counter Strike Source or 1.6... the old counter strike.... Call of duty 2 or 1... but just saying that the community of PC will probably be the most helpful and reliable people youll ever meet.... BC i know that if someone really needed help with PC problems or something i would help them for ten or fifteen minutes you know.... So just keep in mind that yes, there will always be spawn campers and **** but hey, they are everywhere.. but there is alot of good people out there too lol... hope you make a decision soon!...

You can do both. The more systems you have, the more choices you have. It's all good.
