I sent Activision a complaint about COD4 and it said...

...that us PC gamers were cheated out of the Prestige mode in COD4 and they need to add it. Here it is:

"I just wanted to address my dissappointment and concern with the PC version of COD4 that several of my friends and I are all frustrated with. What in God's name was the reason for removing Prestige mode from the PC version? That was the one thing I was excited to try since after level 55 the game gets exponential boring. Prestige mods needs to be implemented in the next patch, please! I know a lot of PC gamers are upset that this feature was cut and in some way feel cheated that the consoles version has it. Also, why does the lvl up system just stop at 55? I understand that the amount of upgrades and weapons need to be limited. But gamers like to be recognized for their committment and hardwork so why not distinguish a player from lvl 55 to 75? We don't NEED extras (it would be nice tho) but just the honor system XP lvl to continue to increase to show that you are a more experienced player than someone who JUST earned lvl 55. I know it is not much to ask, but I know from video game posts online that pc gamers would love to see this updated! Thank you for your time and consideration!

You hit level 55...then you enter prestige mode, which is you RE-DOING everything, starting back at level one, and you have an icon that says you were crazy enough to do it.

I also think leaderboards aren't in the PC version.

Well it doesn't happen instantly or anything, it's your choice if you want to get into prestige mode, anyway, once you start doing prestige mode you do the whole "prestige ranking up" which is basically you doing everything the second time over, just for bragging rights (cuz there's no extras or anything, just a nice icon saying "yeah that's right, I'm doing prestige mode!").

I don't care much for it, but what the hell is the point of not putting such a simple thing intot he PC version? Developers are just stupid sometimes. Although, we do get lots of patches very quickly, while 360 and ps3 are like, the neglected un-favored children.

Anyone played the winter crash map that came with patch 1.4 yet? Friggin candy canes and holiday lights EVERYWHERE!

Psshh... Just sounds like a lame cover for them not being able to come up with something cool to give you when you reach the highest rank, if you ask me.
