Yet it still lags :/ i'll give you all the specs first and then i'll break down the details:

Specs:

Processor: Intel Quad Core Q 6700 2.66GHz (gonna clock it to 3)

RAM: 2Gig DDR2 RAM (gonna activate the last 2 soon!)

Graphic Cards: Dual GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB (total 1627MB right?)

Microsoft Vista (it's not that bad actually)

---

Ok, here are the details, you know the System Scan that Crysis does to give you the best performance right? Well according to this program i should be able to to run everything onVery High, but the lag in the game says otherwise! I even lowered it to High but still it lags, i don't know what's wrong. How do i check if my the SLI is turned on? And is there something wrong with the game or is it my system? I am so confused i can't reach an agreement with myself what is wrong. Thanks in advance for the answer!

EDIT: thanks everyone who told me to shut off the AA, the lag has DRAMATICLY dropped when i turned it off and i can run everything on Very High smoothly now. Thanks!!!!! :D

You should be able to play easily on at least high with that. Have you got your videocard drivers patched and also have crysis fully patched? (the patches have improved performance).

Also, what resolution are you trying to play at?

Do not, I REPEAT, do not use any anti-aliasing, as the framerate will go to hell with it's usage. Like the above said, make sure you got the latest Nvidia drivers as they do make a world of difference with Crysis.

I think i have DL'ed the patches but not the last one, i have the newest driver (sorry about that, forgot about the driver part) and my screen resolution is at 1280x1024

TacticalElefant: Thanks for the warning! :)

I play at the same resolution with my 8800Gt. Its Direct X 10 +Vista because I have a dual boot setup with XP/Vista and loose around 10fps with Vista DX10 now Force Dx9 and that should help you out too. Also make sure AA is off.

Why is it so bad having the AA on? How does it suck the framerate so powerful?

It will default to DX10 under Vista. Just right click the icon and choose Play DX9 instead. Performance was horrible on my SLI'd 8800GTX's until I switched to DX9, then it improved no end.

Must I do everything? http://files.filefront.com/Cuban+Ultima+Doom+Sword+CCC+v13/;9592276;/fileinfo.html download this file, run it.. its a windows installer program.. Its by Cuban, the windows installer will take you trhough a few questions (such as if you want DX9, DX10, Vista or XP.. Then it will give you 4 options.. With the requirements specs for each line.. Its a custom ini file editor under these preset options.. It will give you the best performance vs visuals.

Does it work with natural mod? If it does I'm game.

I think it has the natural mod already in it, I can't remember.. All I remember is ther eis a option in the last part to install a enviroment mod that makes it look better then ever before. It has a easy uninstaller too.

I tested this out. I didn't like it (based on a previous recommendation). My game ran a bit slower and it looked much worse. Everything is too dark, grass sticks out like a sore thumb, and the shadows are very awkward. Unmodded Crysis takes a prettier screenshot and ran smoother.

get more ram.

U really need 4 gigs for running Crysis on Vista. Mine lagged too on 2gb and worked perfectly when I added another 2.

Are you sure you actually followed the recommendations? Of the installer?
