Multiplayer games are the best IMO, I just can't get enouh of them :oops: The competition is what makes them good...zsc4
I like console multiplayer or LAN the best. I usually only buy a game for single player mode (Doom, Prey, Oblivion). I still play Halo online but I'd prefer to play with people I know instead of a bunch of 12 year olds.
AI enemies are fun to fight for a little bit... but when it comes right down to it MP games are a lot of fun cuz your enemies/allies are smarter, and it builds a stronger social community around a game.
Clearly multiplayer games are ALOT better than single player ones.
When i say alot...I mean ALOT.

...Are you serious? Oblivion is single player, I don't like it, but it's definantly got alot more cred then alot of multiplayer games... that's just stupid to say bro...
Multiplay is mostly just for the competition, no story or anything, and that's what single play is for. I enjoy single player alot more then multuplayer. Not saying I don't play CS every so often or R6:Vegas. But Single player games are alot more immersive then a multiplayer game, just alot more characters, and personalities behind them. Not a bunch of idiots running around going "NOOB!!"
Me too, I used to consoles only, but lately Im into PCgames.....Well, right now Im building my own gamingPC for the first time and I cant wait to get it done, hope I can get it going ok. and I will deffinately try out CS sometimes.
..... Oh, I just got F.E.A.R yesturday, and DAMN! PCgames take like, 5 DISKS for one game to download - DAMN!! Now I know why blu-ray is important. I think it's important.
Multiplayer-ONLY games are fun (MMORPGS mostly, since shooters usually have a singleplayer story mode) and can be addictive, in general. The only drawback is if you have a poor connection (LAG anyone?), and if you come across a bunch of idiots or kids then that'll ruin your day.
A lot of games have excellent singleplayer as well. Total War, Grand Theft Auto, the Elder Scrolls Series, RPGs like NWN etc... as well as most shooters.
MP only games are boring, I'm mostly a SP gamer myself. It's difficult to get someone to play a 10 hour Civ IV game against (unless you go PBEM). MP is only for short games And personally I don't like to play against random people on the net, it's much more fun to play against people you know... unfortunately I only know people who play FPS, which is not my favorite genre... sure, I do play FPS from time to time, but not much
multiplayer only games aren't worth buying - what we want is a good singleplayer and multiplayer games such as Call of Duty - what's better than playing game with story and then after that have some more fun online?
