Hey, I want to include some bass in my music when listening to it on the computer. I hear the loud bass sound when listening to music coming out of a huge $500 speaker system of course........but I'm wondering how I can get it on my PC? But....I use headphones all day. How can I get the bass sound into my headphones? Can't I just plug my headphones DIRECTLY into the back of my computer and get instant bass with my music??? Or do I need a sound card to get bass?? Or do I have to buy a speaker system with a subwoofer and connect my headphones to that?? I wanna hear that THUUUUUMP on my songs. HELP!!!!

If you want Bass without headphones you'll probably have to get a speaker system with a subwoofer. I got a logitech 5.1 surround setup

Not sure but I think you need a good pair of headphones, like a $100 pair with 5.1 channels? You might need a soundcard also to take full advantage of it.It the depends on the headphones though. I can get bass with my jvc ear phones lol

How much are you willing to spend? I'd say a good sound card would be necessary to get that big bass sound you are after.

I'd recommend this Sennheiser headset and this sound card or this one.Or perhaps even this one if you truely want freaking awesome sound.

There is also this headset, Tritton's AX360, that have this feature when plugged into the blue box it comes with, that makes the headset rumble. It isnt true bass, but it really sounds cool, makes music sound awesome with it imo as well as other stuff. If those options are too expensive for you, do some research on google. I'd say go for headphones that are over-the-ear only, and get a decent sound card. Onboard just doesn't cut it imo for even decent sound.

wow thx. It's gonna cost me alot more than I thought I'd have to spend but I'm sick of listening to my music on crappy $10 headphones. I want to hear the music the way it was meant to be heard......and i'll pay high for that.

I have a pair of Bose headphones and the bass is awesome, way better than what I had expected. I hear a lot of good things about those Sennheiser 280pros though.

The Bose headphones are absolutely what's up. But, if they're to expensive for you, then I'd reccoment SkullCandy's headphones. The Big one's of course. Those kinda headphones usually have the best bass.

If onboard sound has a problem it would be bad signal to noise ratio, not an inability to spit out bass frequencies. The ability to reproduce bass frequencies comes down to your speakers. I don't think you'll match a good subwoofer with headphones because the subwoofer lets you feel the bass as well as hear it - it's in your room not just in your head.

Go into shops that have headphones set up to listen to music with

I've got the Klipsch 2.1 My wife was having a girl's night in party, so we converted the garage into a living room and ran itunes with the klipsch speakers off a laptop. I put the satellites in the rafters and the sub under a table. They couldn't believe how good it sounded and didn't know where it was coming from. A very good buy at about A$190.

You could try these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158037. I've been using them for about 3 months now and I love them. Newegg doesnt sell them anymore but you can get them off amazon or tigerdirect. I've tryed the Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones but honestly, I don't think they are worth 100$.

Buy a reciever, a car subwoofer and 2 floor speakers its the best system you can get for your money. DONOT buy the logitech speakers they are actually a ripoff. People who dont know enough about speakers and think that that has awesome bass should come to my house my $300 system cracked the foundation of my house and almost collaped it. Get this receiver its really nice.

OH you asked for headphones LOL I saw HUGE oversized sony headphones at radioshack today. They were seriously 5 inch speakers they were too big to fit around someones head and probibly would blow out your ear drums if they were on your head.
