Ok, so I basically love the star wars movies and I don't feel I've experienced all of them or maybe even close...
I've only played Star Wars Obi Wan and the rogue squaudron games..what have I missed out on?

KOTOR 1-2
the Dark Dorces/Jedi Knight series (Dark Forces, Jedi knight, Jedi outcast, Jedi Academy)
TIE Fighter
X-Wing Alliance
If you ask anyone on here they'll tell you what I have listed above are probably the best Star Wars games of all time
Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith are good if you're into much older games (I also recommend Dark Forces, the first game in the series, but it's just guns, no force powers or lightsabers), and Jedi Knight 2 and Jedi Academy are unmatched by any Star Wars game of all time at lightsaber-wielding, force-using jedi combat.JP_Russell

Thanks..I also own a 360 so maybe the force unleashed..
I do not recommend KOTOR (knights of the old republic). I know it is somehow really popular for some reason i don't know why though. I guess the story's good but if you want to fight like a jedi do not play this. The fighting is really lame its like turn based or w/e I do not recommend this in the slightest unless your only looking for a good story and don't care about the fighting then giv eit a go but if you are looking for a game where you can fight like a jedi or anything like that then don't. Yes I do expect to get flamed for my post :)blade55555

From what I've seen of TFU, it pales greatly in comparison to Jedi Knight 2 and Jedi Academy for real-time jedi action in every way. It's more formulaic; the latter two games are more free-form and make you feel like you're fluidly controlling the saber, where you want it to stroke, what combination of technique and form you want to use for a fight, etc. Also, all force powers are consistently useful in different situations in JK, whereas I've heard many criticize the balance between the force powers in TFU, saying force throwing objects is pretty much the most effective way to combat the hordes of stormtroopers and whatever else have you.

Although I think Knights of the Old Republic is a great game, I have to agree with this mang somewhat. I felt much more like a Jedi while playing Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast than I did playing either Knights of the Old Republic games. I can't say I felt much like a Jedi while making light side or dark side choices because the choice to be good or bad has been given in other RPGs before.
I think the ultimate Jedi game would be excellent realtime combat with the depth of an RPG.

lol well I have played the game the fighting sucked :P

I agree, people aren't understanding what he's saying, they interpret his post as "KOTOR sucks" and that's it. Like you said, KOTOR while a good game, and giving you Jedi options, doesn't make YOU feel like you are BEING a Jedi. The only games that meet that criteria are the Jedi Knight series. KOTOR, while excellent, isn't the same.
It would be like having a Battlefield game with a turn-based/tactics approach. While yes, you might have all the options a soldier on a battlefield would have, it would in no way shape or form make you feel like you were IN battle.
KOTOR 1 and 2
Dont blink
Dont think
Just wake up in the morning, go to the store, and buy.

valid points, though, i think kotor and kotor 2 are notably worth trying, but you will feel more like a jedi in the jedi knight series. Please Log In to post.
