Hey everyone, i'm new here so i am not pretty sure that this is the correct forum for this, but anyway... Here is the deal, i just came to Australia from overseas and set in QLD, Brisbane. I gotta let my computer go so now i got to build a new one, my estimate is about 1230 dollars. What i basically want is a PC for gaming that can handle everything in ultra, and it got the be usefull a few more years. Now what i need from you :D, i am in a big need of somebody helping me with how to build my computer, i mean, what parts should i buy and what i will need; a friend of mine recommend me this especifications: Intel core I5 4670k Haswell Gygabyte GA-Z87X-OC DDR3 1600 Mhz (2x4gb) Corsair Vengeance CL9 1 Tb WD SATA III BLACK 64Mb Buffer MSI gtx680 twin frozr III OC 2gb Source Cooler master silent pro gold 800w Now, i was thinking in making the CPU non k, and somebody told me that i don't need 800w, just 600 will be fine, also somebody told me that i don't need that motherboard (there i have no idea about mother boards), and i think i should get a better Nvidia, something like 770. Now ¿Will my money be enough for all this? What do you think about all these parts and combinations? Recommend me things :D. The other thing that i need to ask is some website or place to can buy my parts kinda cheap and safe, or well, you know haha :P. Given thati just arrive to this country i have no idea about where to buy my stuff so if you could give me a good place that would be great :D. Thanks for your help, MrPelafio.

Hey, that's great, but probably a non k CPU, and just one Tb of disc, I mean I don't think I need more. About the motherboard I don't really understand, and the graphic card... What is EVGA? also you think that my budget will be enough for that? or where can I buy it? Greetings MrPelafio. :D

These two AUS sites have good prices http://www.mwave.com.au/

http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_homepage.faces?BeanName=homePageAction

The K edition allows you to overclock the CPU and Z87 motherboards supports overclocking. If you only want to run a single card then 600-650w from a good brand like seasonic, corsair, silverstone, or enermax will be more than enough.

The GTX 770 is slighly faster than a GTX 680 while being cheaper most of the time so if you want nvidia, get the GTX 770 (if you want AMD then get the 7970ghz).

If you get a non-k CPU then you don't need a highend motherboard (basically a highend motherboard is needed for overclocking, since non-k cpu's don't overclock then you don't need a highend motherboard).

The motherboard you listed is 260 AUS dollars, if you get a non-k cpu then you want something more basic like this http://www.mwave.com.au/product/sku-ab49874-gigabyte_gab85md3h_lga_1150_motherboard

Well yeah, the most probably thing is that I don't overclock it because well haha, about the graphic card... I thought that there was a big difference between 680 and 770, but I am quite sure that it isn't cheaper than 680, jaja. Talking about the mother board... you think that would be enough? I am not going to overclock anything but well, probably there can be some changes in the future, like buying another graphic card or I don't know ¿it won't overheat?. I think the i5 will be enough right? If you could answer all this ... sorry mate I don't wanna be annoying but I quite nervous jeje. Greetings, MrPelafio.

You can't be on the fence, if you want to OC, you need a K chip and a Z mobo, you can't just change that in the future (you can but its a pointless money spent), decide now.

Same with GPU, if your on the fence, you can't just pop-in another high-end card with only a 600watt PSU. If you think you will, get 750watt as a minimum (I know my sig has 2 GPU's on a 650 watt).

A few other stores,

CPL

MSY

Nah mate, I am sure that I am not going to OC anything, the only chance is that I buy another graphic card but... should I use 2 of 1 GB? Or pay for a 2Gb one? Like gtx 680 2gb, because 770 2 GB is quite expensive :P...

Yeah see this, http://www.hwcompare.com/14806/geforce-gtx-670-vs-geforce-gtx-760/ I think thinking in that way 680 is much much more a better option because of the price, and is basically the graphic card... isn't it? What part of OZ?

The 770 is better than the 680 in every way possible, and where are you getting your prices?

A 770 is a rebadged 680, 680 being last gen and 770 current gen.

I don't understand why people are so afraid to overclock. It's so easy now to do it safely.
