I've recently bought a GTX 660 Ti card and looks like that my Phenom II X4 965 CPU is bottlenecking it. Soooo I need to buy a new CPU now. :D Will be an i5-4670K enough or an i7-4770K is a better choice? I don't do anything like 3D modelling, or whatever on my PC. I mostly use it for gaming, maybe watching movies, or browsing on the net. So my priority is to play new games on maximum graphics settings. So if the first CPU is strong enough, then I don't want to pay more for the second one.

4670k is more than capable of handling both gtx 600 and 700 series for that matter.

Your Phenom 2 X4 is not bottlenecking the gpu, what resolution are you using? What games are you playing? also you will not be maxing new games with a GTX 660ti. If your games are mostly MMO's those games only utilize one to two cores and that is where your seeing the performance issue with populated areas. Having an intel based cpu will yield better results because of their faster processing abilities per core. An i5 4670k is plenty and an i7 is a waste since you will not see any real difference between the two with gaming.

Well, I've played some new games like Saints Row 4 and Splinter Cell Blacklist and I had worse FPS in those games than other gamers who have the same GPU but use a better CPU. I don't really play MMOs, mostly single player games.

BTW by watching videos on Youtube by other gamers who use GTX 660 Ti, I think that my new GPU should handle new games with maxed out setting if I would have a decent CPU. Even my old GPU (Radeon HD 6850) was able to handle most new games with maxed out settings and this new GPU is much stronger.

Crysis 3, BF4 type games will not be maxxing out with a GTX 660ti. Also I also have SR 4 and it runs flawlessly on my Phenom 2 X4 955 with a weaker gpu then you.

You are not going to max out a lot of newer games with a 660ti. You are not going to bottleneck anything with a 4670k

4670k is a great CPU, you don't need better unless you edit 1080p video everyday or render huge 3d models
