For those of you who are looking forward Rage and aren't too happy with EA's DRM schemes lately might be interested in knowing that EA will be publishing rage for Id. i'm really disapointed , looks like another awesome game to be marked off the list .

Many things will happen in the 18-24 months until RAGE. Don't write it off.

Don't be that upset. They are working on a tool that enables you to get your installs back on your own :) sounds good to me even if it makes the DRM useless (not SecuROM but the install limit), but I would gladly use a too to get my installs back and play the game without the disc in than not having that install limit and playing with the disc.

The only problem is when they will finish it, since all they said is that they are working on it.

Eh, don't worry about it. So many publishers will be using DRM in the future that piracy will rise to a level where Publishers will stop making PC games altogether. Then you can all sit here and cry about why no one makes any PC games anymore.....

yes i'm aware of that as well, but until pc gaming is fully killed off, i will cry about b.s. until the bitter end. especially when my pc will have so much unused potential. guess theres always consoles...

id is joining only for RAGE, they said it before. They simply don't like Activision anymore, and that's easy to understand why - just look at that BS they did with Soviet Assault.

A revoking tool isn't going to make any part of the DRM useless. All of the DRM started out that way... otherwise Spore wouldn't have been cracked and pirated so quickly and so frequently. Anyway, the revoke tool isn't nearly good enough for me. If they have install limits at all, I just won't buy the game.
