What is the ideal temp for a Intel Quad Core, Core 2 Q6600 processer.

When I use Core Temp I get (in celcius and averaged.)

CPU 1: 43 deg.

CPU 2: 40 deg.

CPU 3: 40 deg.

CPU 4: 43 deg.

Also, what is the ideal temp for a overclocked 8600 gt 256mb with 675 Mhz core clock speed and 2000 Mhz memory clock speed. (Everything else is normal.) And also, what can I use to measure GPU temp.

I thought coretemp was inaccurate by some 15-odd degrees for the Q6600.

Those temperatures are AFAIK well out of the danger zone. You shouldn't worry too much until the temp approaches 70 C.

Was, when they first came out with the G0's, but that has long been fixed. Pretty sure speedfan is still off.

So coretemp is accurate with the Q6600 right? Lol, that's what I've been using....

Yeah, if you have a recent enough version. Compare it to PC Wizard or Everest to makes sure if you want.

Seems fine to me. Are those idle temperatures or under load?
