And your current hardware cant run it on max, will you do your best to upgrade/buy new PC so you can max it? Or as long as it runs(even on low-medium) - you dont mind?

i just built a new pc for no specific game, but because my old one was from 06...runs anything on high-max setting
Well, Mass Effect 3 since they've confirmed a multiplayer now, Syndicate which brought by EA games and it's just like Deus Ex but on 3rd view perspective, I Am Alive which brought by Ubisoft - going to be one hell of a good survival game. other than that Tom Clancy's Future Soldier
and NO I won't upgrade my rig for some games unless I'm starting to play all of my games barely on low graphics
I'm ready for anything hardware-wise.. just don't know which game that will be. Which games do we have left in 2011 anyways? Skyrim and Tomb Raider? I'm looking forward to Tomb Raider (if it doesn't get delayed).Elann2008
If you're talking about the Tomb Raider reboot that game is scheduled for late 2012.
I would only upgrade for one game if I could do so cheaply say with only one or two components actually needing changing, I plan to keep using this set up until I am forced to start setting games to medium low. If a new mmorpg came out I knew I would be pumping a lot of time into over the next couple of years that would probably change my stance on that statement, but the only thing close is Diablo 3 and I don't think I will be having any issues there.

Seriously? Damn. :( Worst news of 2011 for me.I don't have enough budget to build a new system and i want to run Skyrim on my current PC(low setting will also do it).
Medium low's good enough for me.. and my wallet. I am getting to that point though where I'll have to upgrade my video card and CPU. I'll see what my mobo can handle and go from there. I'd rather not get a new mobo, just cause I don't want to uninstall/install all that. But if I must, I'll do what I normally do and try and balance price vs. longevity.
I upgraded last month because I was becoming more aware that after The Witcher 2, and with Battlefield 3 coming up, PC games in general are getting more demanding.
Anyway, after nearly 4 years with a Core 2 Duo and a 9800GTX+, I felt it was time to upgrade.
I've been wanting to jump back into PC gaming for several years, but I wanted my PC to be top-notch for when Diablo III came out. I built my PC late summer in anticipation for D3 this winter; however, it has been pushed back. :(
I don't regret building my PC when I did as I wouldn't have time otherwise with university. Although, in hindsight, I jumped the gun, I'm glad I finally made the switch. Now I just need some developer to make football games for the PC and I can ditch my 360 altogether. :P
I never upgrade for games, it's once every 5 years usually, however, buying just after all the consoles finish coming out is the cheapest method, those 8800gtx's can still run modern games fine, since the majority of big names are just ports anyway.
Upgraded last year, I woulda waited, but I bought a 7800gtx at the beginning of this gen, dumb mistake, costly, and not sufficient to play many games. So, 5850/i7920/6gb atm.

I dont think Im going to NEED to upgrade until the console generation hits. Games are not that much tougher on harware today than they were 3/4 years ago. The games that dont run very well on max settings are either poorly optimised or dont have a large enough IQ gap between Max/Very High/High to warrant an upgrade.
If Diablo3 had huge system req i would have upgraded my pc to play it.No other game comes to my mind.

My computer is actually 6 years old, but a year or two ago my brother upgraded it with the best graphics card he could find, so it runs anything I'm interested in on High with no problems whatsoever. And I'm only excited for Skrim, which I don't anticipate to be a problem at all. I probably won't even get Skyrim until a month or two after it comes out.
