I could afford it...but I have other ventures...
Well i've just built my first rig, and i'm so happy with it im thinking of upgrading it all. Money isn't really a problem, but obviously i dn't want to spend more then i need.
Starting with this
Probably go with a 5870 or wait to see what nvidia is offering.
Keep my RAM, maybe ad another 2Gig stick
And that's about it
Antec Nine Hundred Case w/ extra fans
MSI 790X-G45 Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE CPU with Cooler Master V8 hsf
Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600 Mhz
ATi Radeon HD 5850 CF (2 GPU's)
Antec True Power 650W (TP-650)
2x 500GB 7200rpm HDD
BD-ROM combo drive

If my wife wasn't such a tightwad, I'd have a pc that can run Flight Simulator X very smoothly ay the highest supported res, detail maxxed out, and with all the payware graphics enhancements. The CPUs and video card(s) will have to be powerful enough to maintain 60 fps across triple displays at 1900x1200 (at least) apiece.
You guys are weak. W/e the fastest i7 is 2x 5970 24 gigs of ram 24 SSDs in RAID 0 on an Areca Raid controller 1500watt ultra psuJigglyWiggly_Moar SSD amirite? Jiggly is predictable
I'd probably stick with what I have now, and get a better graphics card and a CPU cooler. Throw in a sound card and bigger HDD too.
