Well i've just built my first rig, and i'm so happy with it im thinking of upgrading it all. Money isn't really a problem, but obviously i dn't want to spend more then i need.

Starting with this

Probably go with a 5870 or wait to see what nvidia is offering.

Keep my RAM, maybe ad another 2Gig stick

And that's about it

If my wife wasn't such a tightwad, I'd have a pc that can run Flight Simulator X very smoothly ay the highest supported res, detail maxxed out, and with all the payware graphics enhancements. The CPUs and video card(s) will have to be powerful enough to maintain 60 fps across triple displays at 1900x1200 (at least) apiece.

I'll fill my computer with more Crossfired HD5970 than I'm willing to sit down and count and power it with my personal nuclear plant. Or maybe I'll just kill Ironman and take his generator for myself. :D

I'd probably stick with what I have now, and get a better graphics card and a CPU cooler. Throw in a sound card and bigger HDD too.

[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]You guys are weak. W/e the fastest i7 is

Following up a statement like that with such a shortsighted CPU mention? Come on, I was expecting at least dual Nehalem Xeons, or better yet, some of those 12-core AMD Opterons that slipped on eBay a while back. Phase-change-cooled for massive overclocking, of course. Finally, I'm not sure if RAID 0 on 24 SSDs is a wise idea, reliability-wise. If just one fails, doesn't the entire array go down with lost data as well? Anyway, the specs aren't as relevant to me-today's top-of-the-line is tomorrow's obsolete. I just want today's top-of-the-line...and then build a nice simulation cockpit around it to make me feel like I'm really in an F-16 or whatever, which would be an even better use of the scenario's unlimited money since it wouldn't depreciate nearly as fast and give me more immersion beyond what's on the monitor.
