That's quite a stupid question sorry to say.

I mean it's really a question for those who dont have a gaming PC and wish to have one.

Crysis, the orange box.

AMD Phemon 9500

Gefoce 8800 GT 512 MB

and 2 GB ddR2 ram

DVD burner

all for about $1,000

was thinking about DIY but I can not fund it all at once. is this a good deal? should i do it?

I also can get a no payments for 90 days. what should i do?

$1000 for all the latest hardware is pretty good for a prebuilt. I have heard people spending 3X as much for the same parts into a prebuilt.

Wow yeah, getting all that in a pre-built is a pretty good deal. Never seen one with a GPU that good for $1000

I got the pc I want right now. Sure there are upgrade options, but it wouldnt really make the resolution I prefer play much better than what I got now. Not being a FPS player, and pretty much an exclusive RPG/Action, and MMORPG gamer, I am very content right now.

Too content perhaps. Now that I can play all the mmorpgs I enjoy maxed, I've lost the "lust" of a better system for now. That makes me depressed and not want to game!

I don't quite have the PC I want, but I can still play all the games I want. Which mainly consists of Sins of a Solar Empire these days. Amazingly well-done game, every PC gamer should pick it up.

I would always be happy with a few changes in my case... but I love my computer. I don't care about crysis... so, I am happy playing HL2, Portal, Bioshock, C&C, Civ 4, bunch of other junk. I haven't had time to game recently much = / Rayvin, its so confusing to see you without your old pic = P

It'd be more than one physical computer, in my case. My Home Theater computer would feature the fastest passive/liquid-cooled GPU's I could do - performance with an emphasis on near (or total) silence. It would also feature LG's dual-format drive (for both HD-DVD & BluRay support), a pair of SSD drives in RAID to store the OS and necessary software, then a few large-capacity hard drives (either internally or even on a separate NAS box connected to the LAN) to provide storage and TiVo capability for SD/HD(TV) programming. For my "desk", it would be revamped to allow for two desktops - one being a Mac Pro, and the other a personally-built desktop featuring a Vapochill for the CPU and liquid cooling for the motherboard, RAM and GPU's in parallel loops to ensure they all get the coldest fluid pumped in possible. In much the same way, an ideal laptop for me now would be the 17" MacBook Pro with the 1920x1200 res display upgrade, and 4GB of RAM to play with. Use Boot Camp for Vista, and run XP within VMWare Fusion or Parallels 3 so I can enjoy DX9 games without ever having to reboot, and basically boot to vista only if I really need to.
