Dissapointed with that score.Thought it would get a 8.5+ although the demo wasn't great.

"The real shame is that Escape from Butcher Bay did something new and unexpected for a movie-licensed game (and FPS), but Assault on Dark Athena does nothing new at all. It just attempts to ape what was once innovative."
That pretty much sums up the impression I got from the demo. So this review doesn't surprise me one bit.
Figures . .
Demo was as "meh" as they come.
Rehashing games isn't exactly the greatest way to produce hits, these days.
I thought the demo was great on 360, and based on how much fun I had with it, I'll probably like the game when its released.
I love PC reviews that are copy + paste 360 reviews, awesome. This guy is an amazing writer btw. "However, if you never played Riddick's first adventure it (and its modest follow-up) are worth checking out." It are worth checking out, thanks Cletus. Nothing about controls, sound, graphics (other than "they look a bit dated"), etc. He brings up some valid points about the AI, if it really is that bad, but this sounds more like a disgruntled blog than a review.
Haven't even played the demo yet.... (PC), but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Give me more Butcher Bay and I'll be happy....not every single part 2 has to offer 40 new things...."The real shame is that Escape from Butcher Bay did something new and unexpected for a movie-licensed game (and FPS), but Assault on Dark Athena does nothing new at all. exactly.
and honestly, did anyone here really expect any new "innovation". I expect some new combat moves, maybe a few new melee and ranged weapons, but outside of that I was actually looking forward to the same awesome gameplay.

But if you actually read the review, you would know there are more things wrong with Athena than just the lack of new material. I'll save my money for a game where developers make a bit more effort at originality rather than putting the same game in a different package with a different title, and still charge full price.
