So here's the story. I just put together my first computer and to my complete surprise everything works. But now i want it to run at its greatest potential so i can get the most for my money. I'm looking for someone knowledgeable that could maybe show me a few tips on how to tweak and oc my rig. The parts are asus m4a79 deluxe, phenom II 940, 4 gig ocz 1066 ddr2, sapphire hd4890, corsair 650 psu. There is a noctua cpu cooler that should be coming in by monday. The parts came with all this software (asus expressgate, turbov, ati overdrive,)that seems easy but i dont wanna blow anything up. If anyone's interested and local email me at songjae14@Yahoo.com. Thanks for your time guys!

I suggest too to go on Google, or to Overclockers.com and see recommended OC settings for your CPU, Mobo, RAM and GPU. However, I also suggest that you use Turbo V to play around and get idea for frequency and voltage. Turbo V wont save nor change your BIOS settings, and is slightly safer should anything happen. Once comfortable, you can start changing BIOS manually.

ha yea i too am i google fan and have lurked around on overclockers. is it really just as simple as moving the sliders over? there are a few options that i can basically move the sliders over for mhz, cpu voltage, etc. kinda like the ati overdrive thing. im guessing i just crank it up to where i want it and its done? still kinda unsure of the actual process. someone please enlighten me.
