I was searching on Newegg for computers under $850, and I came across the list of computers. I found many PCs under 850, but I really have no idea which of them are good for playing games. If you need specifics on "games" I mean Bioshock and such. So my question is, on the list of computers at Newegg ( http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=10&name=Desktop-PCs , page one) are thereany under$850that could run newer games such as Bioshock?

You can get one from one of the big box companies (Dell, HP, etc...) that can run Bioshock for around $600. Mind you that it would be very basic and only just able to run it at low settings. I also presumed you to have an existing monitor. A decent monitor is around 170-200 dollars before tax.

Custom builds can be nice too though.

If you can't build one, find a friend who can help you with it. It's a much better value, not to mention the coolness of a custom case.

I haven't the slightest idea how to build a computer, nor does anybody I know. I can't imagine build my own.

Listen, if a 14 year old can do it, so can you. It is like legos, only bigger pieces that only require common sense to put together.
