I have a GTX 580 DSSC, i think its the best looking card on the market (because it has an illuminated logo on the side lol) If your bored of it overclock it! Plus whats the point of getting anything more powerful when there's no games that require it.
I'm kinda in the same boat, my GTX 480 seems quite old by now. I need a new GPU for my 3D modeling mostly and gaming of course. Especially now that I have a 120Hz monitor I want to enjoy 120 FPS in most of my games.

The from what i have read geforce kepler is a real dud for 3d modeling though, went backwards compared to the fermi cards in both performance and stability.

You're right, many 3D applications suffered rendering slowdowns(like Octane renderer & Cycles renderer) with the release of Kepler. Some of them received updates to fully utilize the new architecture. I'm sure once 7xx series is out most 3D apps will be mostly optimized.
