Ok I'm buying a new pc and I was wondering if it would be ok for gameing. I'd like to be able to play company of heros and some other games.

Heres the specs:

pentium d

250 gb hard drive

1 gb memory ddr2

integraded grafix 224 mb video memory.

Please don't laugh at me I don't know a whole lot about computers. My current comuper is 700mhz celeron and its a dinasour.

Is everthing with this pc ok for gameing or do I just need to replace the grafix card? If I replace the grafix would I be good to go?

no you will only be able to play five year old games the first thing you need to do is loose the intergated graphics you wont be able to play anything with them I recommend getting a 7900gs or wait for DX10 card to come out you will also need 2GB ram to play any new games but that can wait get rid of the pentium D and get a Core 2 Duo they aren't that much more than a Pentium D. what motherboard are you planning on getting.

I am guessing those are US $. Anyways, for 600$ you can get a very very decent PC for gaming ONLY if you custom built it. Can you do that?

save up a bit longer and build the pc yourself.  its a lot easier to build a pc than you think and if you ask for help myself or many others on the forum will help you.  its also a lot more affordable, get 800 bucks together and you can have a decent gaming rig.  if this isnt an option for you, you arent going to have a good gaming pc...unless you want to play older games.

you can get the X1950PRO instead of the 7900

it's much better and cheaper

and if you can afford it, buy the E4300 CPU and a compatible M board

Or better still - wait for the mid-range 8600 series of DX10 capable video cards.
