Hello peoples.$220 bucks you spent on that recently? You can buy the card for $85 on newegg. Sorry to say, it's a pretty low end card. Anyway, the X800 series doesn't support SM 3.0, and there isn't anyway to enable it.
Recently i bought two games ; Rainbow Six Vegas, and Splinter Cell DA. Now well noone of these would run on my computer. I did check the spec's and my computer did meet them, well obviously not, right? Since i got a black screen on both of the games when i pumped it up. I could hear the sound just fine, but the picture just wouldn't appear.
I was kind of dissapointed spending all that money on something that wouldn't run. So i had a friend coming over to try and seek out the problem and he said that it was my GFX card that didn't support these two games.
I recently just bought this ATI Sapphire Radeon X800GTO 512mb for close to 220$ and it won't bloody run?!
I'm not an expert with Hardware, far from actually but i really did expect my new games to run on it.
He told me that the problem was something with my card not having SM 3.0 enabled on it. So well my questions is the following : Can i in any way enable my graphics card to use SM.3.0? Or did i basically throw 220$ out the window?
I'd really want to play the new games which are soon coming, GRAW 2 and such. Would kind of suck if noone of them was to work becouse of my "new" graphcis card >.morapuler
