Get a Core 2 Duo Q6600 or Core 2 Duo E8200 or 8400jmnderson69would that be a huge improvement on performance?
I'd kick it up to the P45 chipset. It'll cost a bit more, but I'd say it's well worth the extra cost for a 65nm northbridge, PCI-e 2.0, dual-gigabit LAN, Firewire, and the other goodies you get on the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R.RayvinAznsounds good, but how much more would i have to pay, i'm kinda on a semi-tight budget X_X

It's around $50 more. Or better yet, you could get the EP45-DS3L on ZipZoomFly (just about as good as Newegg, but a little slower on shipping) for around $110. You lose out on the dual-Gigabit LAN,onboard RAID, and Firewire though.
As for the Q6600/E8400, they're also great chips, but if you're on a budget and willing to overclock, the E7200 is a much better deal.

No reason for that.
Drop the Corsair RAM and go for this Mushkin instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146673
As for the mobo, like Rayvin said go for a P45 chipset mobo insetad.
I recommend this:
Biostar TP I45: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138118
If not, then the Gigabyte EP45-DS3R or Asus P5Q Pro are also very good choices albeit poorer OCing stability. They are of course slightly cheaper as well.
Get a Core 2 Duo Q6600 or Core 2 Duo E8200 or 8400jmnderson69I disagree with that, the only thing I see that could be better, especially for futire upgrades, is that Motherboard. I strongly recommened a better Mobo.
I was looking at that same motherboard the other day...However I would recommend something with 1 more PCI-E slots for crossfire (ati) or sli (nvidia) otherwise that set up looks pretty good. The only iffy thing is the processor. Its good if you're going to overclock because its 45nm but other wise I would get the E8400 for non-overclocking. I'm also not sure how much of a performance gain you would get with quad-core at this time but the E8400 is solid.
