I'm looking for a old Mech game

I'm looking for a old Mech game, U r the pilot of a mech destroying yr enemy & u can upgrade yr mech & collect scrapes from the battlefield to help upgrade yr mech. I've only seen someone play it, that about all I know about it my friend also had Total Annihilation but not sure which one my guess both the game I'm looking for & Total Annihilation came out around the same time if that helps not sure tho:(

I saw taht trailer a few weeks back when it was released, came as a light from above as I thought the Mechwarrior games were dead. Mechwarrior is one of the best games ever made. I've replayed all of the MW4 games multiple times. It feel like I can describe entire missions out of memory and entire pages of dialouge. :P
