I've got a beast of a PC and I'm looking for something to make it struggle. I can run Crysis Warhead maxed out with no lag at all, and I don't care for strategy and civilization type games. Any input is appreciated whether it's good or bad.

ArmA: looks like crap, lags like hell.

But it's a great game.

I heard that it wasn't worth the money, but I'll try it out. I download my games for free off www.2torrents.com anyways. Thankscarfreak06

yeah its a great game, same with flashpoint.

but both games have some of the worst optimized game engines.... and you will not i repeat will not max ARMA, on your system with that gpu, i cant even in SLI, anywhere close to a stable 60 fps (without many dips)

but i would not be putting you download free games, illegally on here. alot of gamers dont support that crap.

Belive it or not, I was part of a sleep deprivation experiment in my first year in the Amry. Flashpiont was one of the games they forced us to play to measure our abilty to react to combat situations when deprived of sleep. I loved the game the first few hours, but after 24 hours of no sleep I just started killing the civilians for entertainment. Needless to say I got my a*s chewed out.lol

Your processor was needlessly expensive, 8 Gbs of memory is silly, your motherboard is a little dated, 5 Hard Drives? Really?, and worst of all your graphics card is dominated by both cost and performance by the HD 4850. If I were to take a guess I would say your card is more suited for a CAD program or something. Furthermore, if you wan't to test your computer don't use pirated games. They usually compress files way to much which can make a game loose its visual appeal and cause other issues like crashing. And to answer your question. Try maxing the original Crysis if you wan't to see what fail looks like.

agree with everything you said, except for "pirated games being bad" ... anyway.. you lost me there, thats just not true. You can't really mean that because a game has been ripped from a dvd and put on the internet that the game suddenly becomes buggy and starts crashing? Doesn't really seem like you have ever downloaded a game tbh (no offense)

Look, I ain't made of money, and I've had this pc for quite a while. But it's good enough for me and it's pretty good considering that I bought it with my alomost-non-existing Army salary. I've got five hard drives because I've got over 45,000 songs, over 500 movies, and all but one of the hard drives are full. As far as gaming, I only game when I ain't under the hood of a car.

I love flashpoint. I played for nearly 24hrs too, but because of a tournament in the CTI mode. If you liked OFP, try out ArmA. As the other guy said you will not max it.

You have the money for a high end computer and all those hard drives, but not to buy a $50 game? That sounds really stupid. How about you stop ripping off all the people that spent countless hours on making the songs, movies, and games you illegally download, that you, with one simple click, rob them of...then maybe you wouldn't need 5 hard drives...

Well the ultimate test of a computer right now is still the latest Microsoft flight simulator. This game makes computers playing crysis on the highest setting look like thoroughly average computers.

It's a 1GB 9800GT and since I can't prove it to you, you're just going to have to take my word for it. Part of the reason I can max it out is that 64 bit vista ultimate runs a lot smoother on it background processes. So if you don't believe me, too bad.

Developers yes, Publishers no. I do buy my games still though. Unless you can only buy them used... then no money is going to the developer anyway (That means the games are old... or rare... like FF7 on the PC... which i owned.... but one disc got scratched....). Of course though i am tired of buying disc versions of games with SecuRom... Fallout 3 will recognize the disc to install, but not to play... The same happens with Crysis.... It pisses me off. Luckily, Bethesda put in their own crack for Fallout 3.
