Hey guys !

A couple of months ago my good powersupply stopped working so i bought a cheap one to replace it 550watt.

Now the problem is... i don't have anough power cables.. I have 1 pci-e cable that i can use but thegraphics card needs 2.

I also have a atx 4 pin 12v free and 1 molex 4 pin daisy chained to my dvd. If i use an adapter to turn the atx 4 pin 12v into a molex and then use the two free molex into one pci-e cable (using 1 molex that is daisy chained and the other from an adapted atx 4 pin 12v into molex) ... would that work ?

Or am i doomed to either buy a new powersupply or buy the best graphics card i can get that needs only 1 pci-e power cable ( radeon 5770)

What do you guys think ?

Bite the bullet and get a quality psu..corsair, antec, pc power & cooling or seasonic. Nothing good ever comes from using a "cheap psu", it will save you a lot of pain and headaches down the road. Cheers

What he said. With a cheap PSU you put your pc health in danger. Also a good quality 450-500W power supply like corsair with an 80plus cert is much better than any cheap 600-650W PSU

I have the same card OCed to hell. I use a ocz 600 watt psu, and it was only like $60. Unlike everyone else I say stay as far away from corsair as you can. There PSUs are way over priced.

Yeah true they are overpriced but they are still good. As for the OCZ 600w its indeed one of the best deals when it comes to Psu's under $100
