anyway down grade your cpu to a core 2 duo e 8300 and get a 9800gt or hd 3870. then swap up for an antec 300 or cooler master centurion 5

well... felldown if he knew, would he be asking? He asked for help. Not to be yelled at.

Generally, the motherboard willl have a built in sound card already. It will be a little on the bad side, but they're alright. I;ve been using built in sound cards since I got my first PC and I have no problems to date.

the antec 300 and cooler master centurion 5 are computer shells ya silly goose XD there both stylish and have lots of room and will nearly be recommended by everyone here for their ability to manage heat and effective cable management. and yeah sound is in your motherboard so that comment about the power supply having sound was B.S. plain n simple

Not a bad build. :) As others have said if you can upgrade the video card just a little, I think you would be happier with it. You may want to look at a E8400 instead of the Q8200. I think they can be had for roughly the same price and the 3.0 GHz should make a difference in most current games.

Or perhaps get the E7400 and a 9800GT as this should keep your budget and you get a substantially better vidoe card than the GSO. Just a thought.

a 9800gt is about 40-50 bucks more than a 9600gso. and if you wanted a mild improvement at no extra cost try the ati 4670.

anyway the core 2 duo's with higher speeds can (in some cases) out preform the lower clocked quad and tri cores.

The 4770 and 4870 are both solid cards. I only recommended the 9800GT as the Motherboard you are getting is SLI capable (it can run 2 Nvidia cards together, but not 2 ATI cards). So down the road if you get some more moeny you can add another Nvidia card. If you don't want to do that then the 4870 would be my first choice with the 4770 second.

i guess i'll be getting GEForce 9800GT. I'll buy another one if the price of the card goes below 100 dollars
