Alright, I upgraded my pc and purchased a couple of games that hermits recommended. I baught Counter strike source and team fortress. Now then, when people compare console to pc games, they always mention mods. What are they and how do we use them (can i get a guide?).

Ive been playing counter strike source (its pretty fun) but i have no clue what the heck to do in team fortress. Ive been playing halo for a while so i picked up the heavy in team fortress and tried blasting everyone but it wasnt that fun and i always got whooped. Can someone explain to me what the heck were suppost to do in this game? I also heard this game was awsome because of mods, how can we use them or w/e?

Anyways, what are the games you hermits brag about that i should get? What are the games that make it worth while to be a hermit?

The thing with TF2 is that it strictly relies on teamwork. Trying to go to the opposing base and shoot up everyone will get you killed quickly cause it's not a CoD or Halo type of game where that sort of thing could be possible.

You have to learn to work as a team in TF2 or else it'll be nearly impossible to win matches.

Call of Duty 4 and Crysis are great shooting games if you are into those. Any other genres you are interested in? :)

Note: The terms "hermit" and "lemming" are normally just used in System Wars forum, some people may not recognise it in this particular forum :P

you might try playing soldier too. Heavy is somewhat difficult for certain maps. Also keep in mind that a lot of people play team fortress all the time. I have nearly a hundred hours in and that seems to be pretty average. Point being you will suck at first. Try finding a server for newbies if possible. And if you are going to play heavy, a medic helping you is a must.
